"Beer, buns, and fiddlers mark the NDP campaign trail" Jack Layton was in Montreal drinking and partying while watching the Montreal Canadiens' hockey game. Jack Layton's intentions were to get the Quebecers comfortable wiht Jack Layton. MY OPINION-I think that this is a very good way to connecet with voters. The campaign is a long one, and leaders need to have some fun too! All joking aside, why would a leader want to portray himself in that way? What effect could it have?
